Rosé 2018
The Story:
Our Rosé program was first crafted from our Primitivo grapes and released in 2004 & 2006. Each year our Rosé program is composed of a different blend of grape. Our winemaker focuses on the chemistry of the current vintage to determine which grapes best fit into our rosé program. The 2018 vintage is Italian inspired with Texas Sangiovese and Primitivo with a touch of Syrah.
The Tasting Notes:
Our 2018 dry rosé exhibits the traditional strawberry notes you would expect from a Sangiovese rosé, but with some subtle nuances you might not expect in an everyday sipper. Look for evasive fresh banana and floral honeysuckle. Our wine club members described this as a very versatile wine for pairing with a variety of foods.
