Rosé 2017
The Story:
Our Rosé program was first crafted from our Primitivo grapes and released in 2004 & 2006. Each year our Rosé program is composed of a different blend of grape. Our winemaker focuses on the chemistry of the current vintage to determine which grapes best fit into our rosé program. The 2017 vintage is Italian inspired with Texas Hill Country Sangiovese and Aglianico.
The Tasting Notes:
The bright pink with a warm violet undertone in the 2017 vintage is candy for the eyes! Typical of our past vintages, this Rosé is bursting with strawberries. The addition of Aglianico, a first for our winery, adds the aroma of dried roses and a white peppery finish on the palate. At only 222 cases, this wine is sure to sell out before Fall.
