Reserve Super Texan 2016
The Story:
Our Super Texan Reserve program began in 2012 to allow our winemaker to craft a special small lot blend of our already famous Super Texan. The 2016 Super Texan’s Cabernet Sauvignon component enhances the color and structure of the Texas High Plains Sangiovese. You’ll find the style typical of a Super Tuscan wine.
The Tasting Notes:
Taste this against our non-reserve Super Texan 2016 to see what effects extended barrel aging and unique blends can have on a wine. Same vintage year but, totally different wine! Cranberry with a hint of star anise arises from the glass as you swirl. On the palate you'll notice plenty of jammy red fruits...cherries, cranberries, strawberries. The smooth tannins and easy finish make this a great porch sipper as you watch the sunset!
