Viognier 2016
The Story:
Beginning with our first vintage release of Viognier in 2008 (Buckin’ Horse White) and in consecutive releases, outstanding awards and accolades have been received. Flat Creek has helped introduce Texas wine consumers to the beauty of a well-crafted Viognier. Each vintage expresses the nuances of the growing season and the 2016 is no exception!
The Tasting Notes:
Our 2016 Viognier is clean and fresh. Wet slate and dried tropical fruits are prevalent on the nose and reminiscent of a spring rain. Apricot and mango carry through on the palate and are joined by a moderate tannin structure and pleasing complexity.
