Reserve Tempranillo 2012
The Story:
Sourced exclusively from the Lost Draw Vineyards in the Texas High Plains, this Tempranillo is a favorite among our wine club members. It expresses delicate floral notes, toasty oak and a hint of caramelized brown sugar. We are fortunate to have wonderful growers in the cooler Texas Panhandle.
The Tasting Notes:
This complex, dry, medium-bodied wine bursts exhibits delicate floral notes with a backdrop of toasty oak and hints of brown sugar. The lively acidity and supple tannins create a big mouth-feel followed by a long smooth finish. Braised short ribs, pulled pork or a juicy burger topped with bacon and blue cheese, are all favorites with this wine.
