Syrah 2014
The Story:
customers a better understanding of terrior, we introduced two Syrahs in 2015. One is our 2012 Reserve Estate Sryah, produced from grapes grown on our Estate, and the other is our 2014 American Syrah, comprised of some excellent fruit sourced from California.
The Tasting Notes:
Our Syrah program has been an excellent example of a winemaker's influence. In early years, some might remember, the zesty "Shiraz" from our Australian-influenced winemaker. Later our Syrah developed a lusher and bolder California style. In 2014 Winemaker Tim Drake took our Syrah program to the "Old World" style by blending in 20% of rustic Mourvedre. A vertical tasting of our Syrah program would be a true delight!
