Port VIII
The Story:
The Flat Creek Estate Port is crafted from traditional Portuguese port wine grapes grown on the Estate specifically for this unique wine. Each vintage of Port is aged in neutral oak barrels and eventually added to the Port Solara which includes multiple vintage years starting in 2002.
The Tasting Notes:
Bottled in 2017, the Port VIII is ruby-garnet in color with aromas of plum pudding, rich dark chocolate, blackberry preserves and cigar. The palate delivers sweet spices and flavors of dark currants and prunes. A classic match for sharp crumbly cheddar, dark chocolate or a good cigar.
