The Story:
Aglianico is one of the newest additions to the Flat Creek Estate portfolio. It is the perfect addition to our Tex-Italian Hill Country wines. We like to think of it as a relaxed version of our Super Texan Sangiovese. We produced our first vintage from California grapes in 2014 while we awaited the inaugural harvest from Hoover Valley Vineyards in 2017. Our anticipation increased each year until the release of Texas Hill Country Aglianico 2017 in fall of 2020! Savor Texas Aglianico to the last drop!
The Tasting Notes:
If you love quality Oregon Pinot Noir, you'll fall head-over-heels for this Texas Hill Country Aglianico. Aglianico aficionados will be surprised by the bright red color and enticing cranberry and vanilla aromas of this wine. It is a beautifully elegant contrast to the typical earth-driven Aglianicos of Southern Italy. Join us at the Wine & Food Hall for vegetarian Mushroom Asiago Fusilli and a glass of Texas Hill Country Aglianico.
